I am an English Literature BA (Hons) graduate who studied at the University of Portsmouth. I also have a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Literature from the University of Leicester. With over three years tutoring experience, a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills, I have challenged and supported students across all educational stages, including primary school pupils right up to A Level students! I want your child to succeed and I truly believe they can do this! My lessons are varied, fun, but get the work done! I am a qualified English teacher and have experience teaching students in secondary school, primary schools and special schools. I specialise in tutoring students with SEND ( dyslexia and autism) and SEMH. I have a Master's in Education which specialised in learning and teaching styles. I am passionate about Chemistry, with a PhD in the subject and over five years of tutoring experience. My tutoring style is to ensure a solid foundation in the core concepts, then practicing the skills with exam questions. I cover all exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel etc) and all topics in Chemistry at GCSE and A level. My highest level of education is a PhD in Chemistry from Durham University. I have dual nationality with both USA and UK passports thanks to my English mother. When I was much younger I gained 5 "O" levels and 1 "A" level while living in Taunton, England. I served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. I have a 4-year university degree from San Diego, California. In 2004 I gained a TESOL certificate at Transworld Schools in San Francisco, California. I have over 12 years of cumulative teaching experience in Thailand, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, and China. I think that teaching English has benefitted me the most in the world around us. When I was in Kuwait I wrote and self-published a children's book entitled Korean Odyssey. I now live in Wiveliscombe, Somerset England awaiting a return to Thailand where my Thai wife is.
