Throughout my degree, I gained extensive experience using analytical and design tools, which deepened my understanding of the core Maths and Physics principles behind modern engineering. Hi, I'm Chris, a recent graduate in nuclear engineering with a love of maths and physics. I help students to build confidence and improve their core understanding of maths and physics, A-Level and GCSE. I focus on breaking down complex problems into smaller, more manageable steps which helps students understand the content along with worked examples and exam questions which helps students to solve questions in an exam and achieve their goals. I hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Lancaster University, specialising in nuclear engineering which involved a large amount of electrical engineering and particle physics. I also hold three A-Levels in maths, physics and chemistry from Thomas Rotherham College where I achieved an A*, A and B respectively. I also have GCSEs in maths (9), physics (9), chemistry (9), biology (9), computer science (9), geography (8), English language(8), English literature (7) from Winterhill School.

Hi! I am a current medical student who enjoys and is passionate about learning. I am hoping to help develop a similar love for learning within tutees that motivates them to want to understand what they are learning. I specialise in tutoring mainly in Biology, Psychology, Chemistry, and Math. Having studied the IBDP, I understand the benefit of a good comprehension and understanding so that they can not just work through one subject, but also balance a multitude of subjects and extracurricular activities, especially as a busy secondary student. This will then provide them with greater critical understanding and knowledge to help them to get to where they want to be academically. I hope to get to know the student so that I can provide specific student-centred tuition that matches the style of teaching and learning as closely as possible to allow the student to learn and understand the material much more effectively and efficiently. Outside of learning to help wind down, I enjoy sports, particularly netball and football. As well as reading and listening to music. I studied the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at school. Studying Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology at Higher level, and then Math AI, Spanish Ab Initio and English Literature at standard level. I achieved 40 points, including 7s in Math and Psychology, and 6s in the others. As well as an A in my world studies (Biology and Economics) extended essay on the treatment of Parkinson's Disease using Levodopa. I am an incoming 2nd-year medical student at the University of Aberdeen, and I passed first year with all A's, earning a distinction for the year. During the year, I completed a project on Delirium vs Dementia, also earning a distinction. I have also previously tutored some SEN students, including a student with autism and ADHD.

Hi, I’m Emma! I’m currently studying Biochemistry with French at university, and I really enjoy helping students understand difficult topics in a clear and simple way. I’m patient, organised, and good at adapting explanations depending on how each student learns best. I especially enjoy biology, chemistry, and languages, and I always try to make lessons encouraging and confidence-building. I also like helping students become more organised, build good study habits, and learn how to learn independently, so they feel more prepared for exams and future education. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, art, sport, and meeting new people. I am currently studying Biochemistry with French at the University of Manchester, which has given me a strong academic background in biology, chemistry, scientific writing, and problem-solving. My degree includes topics such as cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, chemistry, and laboratory skills, as well as developing my communication and cultural awareness through French. Before university, I completed A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and French, as well as AS Level Maths, where I built a strong foundation in science, languages, mathematics, and independent study. I also completed 13 GCSEs, which helped me develop a broad academic base across different subjects. During my A Levels, I was part of a tutoring scheme, where I supported other students with their learning and helped explain challenging topics in a clearer and more approachable way. This experience helped me develop my communication skills, patience, and ability to adapt my explanations to suit different students. My educational and tutoring experience has helped me become organised, confident with exam preparation, and able to explain complex ideas clearly to others.
