Hello, I’m Elchanne Mae A. Ricafort, a Licensed Professional Teacher, a Values Education major, and a cum laude graduate. I have teaching experience with both college and high school students, which has allowed me to work with learners from diverse backgrounds, abilities, and learning styles. In my classes, students can expect interactive discussions, fun activities, and practical examples that make learning meaningful and enjoyable. I also use various tools and resources to support every learner’s growth. My edge as a teacher lies in my background in Values Education and my commitment to nurturing not only academic growth, but also character, empathy, and ethical responsibility. I believe education should shape both the mind and the heart. A little about me personally—I dance to celebrate life, write poems to capture my thoughts and feelings, and cook as my love language, because I believe the best experiences are those shared with others. Passionate about holistic education, I strive to create a nurturing, engaging, and values-driven learning environment where every student feels supported and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

I have over 10 years of experience in Education, learning, and development, teaching in both Primary and Secondary Schools. I specialise in teaching 11+, Social Sciences and prepping for national exams. I love helping students bridge the gap between what they currently know and what they need to know, by building confidence and resilience in their subject knowledge and approach to learning, especially in areas which they find particularly daunting. Engagement in learning is key. All lessons must be interactive to encourage learning and development. I encourage engagement through quizzes, questions, games, opinions, matching & sorting activities and use of mixed media. I adapt to different learning styles by meeting children where they are at, finding out what they currently know and using that information as a foundation to make learning accessible for them. I use assessments to track progress and plug gaps in their knowledge. My passion is to create successful learners who are able to achieve and exceed the goals they set for themselves. At A-Level, I studied Sociology (Grade A), Psychology (Grade B) and ICT (Grade C) at Southwark College. I then completed my BSc in Sociology and Criminology at City University, achieving a 2:1. I also have a PGCE in Upper Primary which I completed at Goldsmiths College. Additionally, I have a CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Learning and Development.

Educational background: Bachelor of Education and Honours in Education Experience: 9 years teaching experience My passion is education and I spend a lot of my time learning, improving myself as well as my professional development. I worked towards an undergraduate education degree where I qualified as a an educator, specialising in English. After working a year, I decided to apply for a part-time postgraduate degree in education, where I focused on learning about inclusive education and educational psychology. I also wrote a research paper about improving teaching strategies in the classroom. After deciding to move to France, I then took a course for how to teach English online to all age groups, from young children to adults. I also completed an advanced grammar and business English course. Currently, I'm teaching Cambridge English to young children and teenagers. I help students prepare for IGCES, GCSES and A levels. I also teach ESL to all age groups. At the moment, I am learning French and I'm currently on a B1 level in my language development.

I am a Computer Science tutor with a passion for helping students understand complex concepts in programming, algorithms, and problem-solving. With a strong background in coding and technology, I enjoy breaking down challenging topics into simpler, more digestible explanations. I also work on personal projects, including building Discord bots, web applications and electronics. My goal is to inspire students to develop a deep understanding of Computer Science and gain confidence in their skills. I completed my A-Levels in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Music Technology while also serving as deputy head student. I am now pursuing a degree in Computer Science at university, where I continue to develop my expertise in programming, artificial intelligence, and software development.
