Hello, my name is Sokhna, and I am a forensic psychology graduate from the University of Portsmouth with a strong passion for helping others. I currently work as a SEN Teaching Assistant, mainly working with KS3. I provide engaging and supportive lessons tailored to each student's individual needs. In my spare time, I enjoy reading fiction books and outdoor activities like hiking and netball. I am a graduate of the University of Portsmouth with a 2:1 in forensic psychology, which allowed me to deepen my foundational knowledge of psychology while learning more subject-specific skills. I am a 21-year-old Biomedical science student, currently studying at the Royal Holloway University of London. I have a keen interest in studying biology, in particular the pathophysiology of a particular disease. Aside from studying I like to invest time in watching kdramas. GCSE: Extra subjects - Statistics( A), Art(A), Geography (B), Gujarati (A) and Spanish (C) A levels: Biology (C), Chemistry(C) and Maths( C) University: Biomedical Science ( Predicted First) I chose biomedical science as my university course due to a keen interest into research. There is so much more to discover then we already have and this motivated me to study this course. I have thoroughly enjoyed studying and have developed insight in all aspect of biology. My favorite modules have been human physiology.

I have dual nationality with both USA and UK passports thanks to my English mother. When I was much younger I gained 5 "O" levels and 1 "A" level while living in Taunton, England. I served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps. I have a 4-year university degree from San Diego, California. In 2004 I gained a TESOL certificate at Transworld Schools in San Francisco, California. I have over 12 years of cumulative teaching experience in Thailand, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Turkey, and China. I think that teaching English has benefitted me the most in the world around us. When I was in Kuwait I wrote and self-published a children's book entitled Korean Odyssey.
