For my A-levels, I chose to specialise in Chemistry, BTEC Business and Mathematics—two rigorous and highly analytical subjects. Mathematics strengthened my logical reasoning, precision, and ability to approach problems methodically. I am currently studying at the University of Birmingham, where I continue to build on the knowledge and skills developed during my earlier education. I am an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with a strong passion for teaching and supporting children in their academic development. I enjoy working with students of all ages, from primary school through to A-level, and I take great pride in helping learners build confidence and achieve their academic potential. Alongside my academic background, I have a wide range of interests, including playing sports and cooking different recipes, which I enjoy in my free time. I am also multilingual and can speak both Bengali and Urdu fluently, allowing me to communicate effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds. I have valuable teaching experience, having previously run my own private tuition sessions for primary school children, primarily focusing on English. I am currently expanding this to include secondary school students as well. I tutor primary school students in both Maths and English, GCSE students in English Language and English Literature, and A-level students in Finance. Currently, in my full-time job, I work as an Alternative Provision Tutor, where I tutor students with SEMH and behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis. Alongside helping them academically, I also mentor them, encouraging them to keep a positive attitude, in the hopes of getting them back into education fully (within a school environment). Teaching is something I have always been passionate about from a young age. I strongly believe in the importance of education in shaping a child’s future, and I am committed to supporting students in reaching their full potential. I hope to continue inspiring and guiding students through their academic journeys while also progressing within my own professional career in finance. Academically, I achieved a Grade 8 in English Literature and a Grade 6 in English Language at GCSE level. I also studied Finance at A-level, achieving an A*, which reflects my strong interest and ability in the subject. I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of East London in 2024, graduating with First Class Honours. Throughout my degree, I developed a strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and analytical skills essential for a successful career in finance. Following my degree, I also completed a postgraduate course related to Accounting and Finance, achieving a Pass with Distinction. This has further strengthened my knowledge and reinforced my ambition to pursue a career as a Chartered Accountant in the future.
