I am an English Literature graduate from the University of Birmingham, who is currently studying a Masters degree in Philosophy. I really enjoy English and Philosophy as they can be a really fun subjects to learn as well as teach. I found that at school my teachers made the subjects enjoyable, so much so that I got a grade 9 in my English Literature GCSE and a grade 8 in English Language as well as a grade A* in my Religious Studies A-level and a 2:1 in my English Literature degree. Therefore, I aim to help students improve their grades by making learning enjoyable because when something is difficult to learn it can be difficult to want to understand and persevere. As a tutor, it is important to understand areas of struggle and help to adapt them in a way that is more accessible to the student. I have achieved 10 GCSEs, in which I received: 1 Grade 9 in English Literature, 4 Grade 8’s (1 Grade 8 being in English Language), 3 Grade 7’s and 2 Grade 6’s. I have also achieved 3 A-levels and received: an A* in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics, an A in English Literature and a B in German. I graduated from the University of Birmingham as an undergraduate English Literature student with a 2:1 Honours and have recently graduated with a MSc in Philosophy, Mental Health, and Psychology.

I am a passionate and dedicated tutor currently studying Economics in my first year at university. I teach Economics, Spanish and A-level and GCSE Maths, bringing both academic excellence and a dynamic approach to every lesson. Hi! I'm Michael, I am a second year medical student and a Biomedical Sciences graduate. I have previously tutored for Year 1-11. I provide person-centered support in Maths and Sciences focusing on boosting confidence and academic results. Beyond traditional tutoring, my background is a Medical Exam Assistant at Brighton and Sussex Medical School University of Sussex (Sep 2020 – Jul 2023): I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. This degree provided me with an in-depth understanding of biological systems and medical research, which I now apply when tutoring complex scientific concepts Harris Academy Battersea (Sep 2018 – Aug 2020): I completed my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics. These subjects formed the core of my technical expertise and paved the way for my university studies. Harris Aspire Academy (Sep 2017 – Aug 2018): I achieved 9 GCSEs with grades ranging from 8 to 6. Vocational Training: During this period, I also earned a BTEC Level 2 in Health and Social Care with a Distinction.

I hold a strong academic and professional background in Spanish language, culture, and education. I graduated in Hispanic Studies and later completed an MA at the University of Glasgow, where I developed advanced knowledge of Spanish and Latin American literature, history, politics, and cultural studies. My academic training gave me a deep appreciation of the richness and diversity of the Spanish-speaking world, from Golden Age literature to contemporary Latin American society. I am also a published poet. I have experience of teaching English Language and Literature. Alongside my academic qualifications, I also completed a PGCE and obtained Qualified Teacher Status through the St Mary's University. This provided me with strong pedagogical foundations in lesson planning, assessment, classroom management, and differentiated learning. I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities and aim to create engaging lessons that build both confidence and linguistic competence. I have lived and travelled extensively in Spain and Latin America, experiences that significantly enriched my understanding of regional accents, idiomatic language, social customs, and cultural traditions. These experiences allow me to bring authenticity and real-world context into the classroom. My particular interests include Hispanic literature, contemporary Spanish and Latin American politics, cultural identity, film, and music. I am especially interested in helping students understand not only the mechanics of the language but also the cultural perspectives that shape communication across the Spanish-speaking world. I believe language learning should be intellectually stimulating, culturally immersive, and accessible to all learners. I attended Westminster School (10 O levels, 3 A levels), attained a 2:1 MA in Hispanic Studies at the university of Glasgow, completed my phd finance modules at university of Essex in 0212, received my QTS and PGCE from St Mary's university in 2024. I taught Spanish at Three Rivers Academy and GNSA in Hayes. My specialisations are Hispanic Culture, Literature and Art. I am an expert on world poetry and drama.
