Hi, I'm Evie, a physics undergraduate with experience tutoring secondary school. I focus on helping students build a solid understanding of core physics topics like mechanics, electromagnetism, and thermodynamics. I went to secondary school in the UK, where I achieved nine grade 9s at GCSE, demonstrating strong academic performance across a range of subjects. At A-level, I earned three A grades, including in Physics and Maths, which reflect both my interest in the sciences and my ability to handle complex, analytical material. These experiences laid a strong foundation for my current studies at the University of Edinburgh, where I’m pursuing a degree in Physics. Hi! I’m Laureen Caitlin, a passionate Math tutor dedicated to helping students aged 11–18 build confidence and actually enjoy problem-solving. Math doesn’t have to be scary, and I’m here to prove that! I love breaking down complex ideas into simple, easy-to-understand steps, making every lesson feel achievable and even fun. Seeing students go from “I don’t get it” to “I got it!” is what I love most about teaching. Outside of tutoring, I enjoy singing and exploring new hobbies which helps me bring positive energy and creativity into my lessons. I hold a Master of Arts in Education major in Mathematics from Far Eastern University and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Universidad de Dagupan. I also wrote a research paper about improving teaching strategies in the classroom. After deciding to move to France, I then took a course for how to teach English online to all age groups, from young children to adults. I also completed an advanced grammar and business English course. Currently, I'm teaching Cambridge English to young children and teenagers. I help students prepare for IGCES, GCSES and A levels. I also teach ESL to all age groups. At the moment, I am learning French and I'm currently on a B1 level in my language development.
