Hello! My name is Daher Salameh and I'm a mechanical engineer. I have a master's degree in mechanical engineering and currently work as an R&D engineer. I always had a passion for teaching and valued education a lot, as it's our tool to build a better future for ourselves and keep moving forward as individuals and as a society. My area of expertise in teaching is mainly Math and Physics (but also taught other subjects) and I have more than 5 years of experience in this field. Throughout the years, I have learned to deliver concepts to students in ways they have never seen before — that I believe are interesting — which encourages them to learn. I always try to present the physical significance behind every concept, the intuition behind the formulas, and the relation of everything academic to its real life counterpart. As a tutor, I take a supportive and adaptable approach as my degree encourages me to understand that every student learns differently so I tailor lessons to suit individual needs. The reason I chose to study this because it included using a lot of technical and problem-solving methods, it also included a lot of Mathematics which was one of my favourite subjects at school. I would say Algebra is one of my strong areas and I completed the Level 3 Edexcel Algebra award in secondary school. When I teach I primarily use a lot of worksheets and exam-style questions which will help the student improve on the subject and feel better prepared for any upcoming exams. If a student is struggling to understand a concept , I use diagrams, videos and allow them to have more practise until they are comfortable with the topics. I have completed 4 A-Levels (Maths, Psychology, Media and Photography). I have since had an level 7 apprenticeship and am currently completing exams and studying towards the ACA qualification.
