I’m an ESL teacher with eight years of experience, and I genuinely enjoy helping students become more confident in using English. Over the years, I’ve worked with different types of learners, so I’ve learned how to adjust my teaching style depending on what my students need. Outside the classroom, I volunteer in my community, especially working with youth. This is something very important to me because I believe education can really change lives. It also helped me become more patient, understanding, and connected to the real challenges students face. I’m very interested in learning more about education and social issues. I like reading books and doing my own research because I want to improve not just as a teacher, but also as a person. I try to bring these insights into my lessons so they feel more meaningful and relatable. I also love traveling because it helps me experience different cultures and perspectives, which I think is important when teaching language. As a person, I’m goal-oriented and organized, but I also try to stay flexible depending on the situation. I always reflect on my teaching and look for ways to improve. My main goal is to support my students, help them grow, and make learning English something they feel confident and comfortable with. As a Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, I am passionate about helping students discover the power of language and develop their confidence in expressing themselves. Teaching, for me, is not just about lessons—it’s about inspiring curiosity, encouraging critical thinking, and connecting learning to students’ everyday lives. I love making English engaging by sharing stories, reading books, and exploring creative ways for students to practice communication. I graduated in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and teach Maths to students of all ages up to A level. I achieved A*A*A* at A level in Maths, Physics and Chemistry, reflecting the strong academic foundation I bring to my teaching. With my students, I ensure that their understanding of underlying methods is to the highest possible standard through rigorous practice. In my experience as a student, exposing yourself to different mathematical scenarios builds a great foundation for achieving the best possible grades. My biggest aim for my students is for them to constantly improve so that when they get to the exam, they are confident about any aspect of the syllabus that may arise. For my sessions, I will ask students what they wish to study and ensure I tailor the session around what I am told. If the student is undecided, I will plan lessons around pushing the student to challenge themselves in rigorous practice, with my guidance, around different mathematical concepts in their curriculum. For exams, my main aim is for students to achieve the best grades possible, meeting and exceeding their targets. My highest level of education is an MSci in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Birmingham. Prior to this, I achieved A*A*A* in A-level Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. I have over 3 years of experience tutoring students in Mathematics across a range of ages and abilities, up to A level. Through this experience, I have developed a strong ability to explain difficult concepts clearly, adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, and build both confidence and exam technique. My focus is always on ensuring students fully understand the methods they are using, so they can approach unfamiliar questions with confidence and achieve the best grades possible.

Hi! My name is Dipasha and I’m currently a final year Pharmacology student at QMUL, with a strong interest in academic research and medicine. Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing tennis and badminton. I also love to explore different places in London and listen to music! :) I am currently in my final year studying BSc Pharmacology and Innovative Therapeutics at Queen Mary University of London, where I am predicted to achieve a first class degree. Prior to this, I completed my A-levels, where I built a strong academic foundation in science and developed effective study and exam techniques. I also performed very well at GCSE level, which reflects my academic ability and strong understanding of core subjects. Alongside my studies, I have gained experience supporting other students with their learning, helping to break down complex topics and build confidence, which has strengthened both my communication skills and ability to adapt to different learning styles.
