Hi! I am a second year studying Biology and Economics at the University of Exeter. I completed Maths, Biology, and Economics A-Level and received 3 A*'s. I am a very chatty character that loves working with younger children. I have a creative mind and love finding new ways to make learning more fun. I prefer teaching 11+ and 13+ exams and can also tutor up to maths GCSE. I have volunteered as a tutor before and skyped children in Kenya to teach them basic Maths and English. This sparked my passion for teaching, I really enjoy getting to know my students and learning about their different hobbies and I will try to incorporate this into my lesson time to make it even more fun!

Hello! My name is Erin, I am currently a first year medical student at the University of Birmingham. As a tutor, my main aim is to quickly determine a students weaknesses, then create a dedicated study plan to help them improve in those areas. I believe that active recall, spaced repetition, and lots and lots of past paper questions - are the key to success! I am well versed in tutoring students of all ages; I have tutored various students ranging from ages 6 to 16 in a variety of different settings. I am also experienced in entrance exam tutoring. Having sat several entrance exams over my lifetime, I understand how to make a study plan that is both time efficient and effective, and how to utilise this study plan effectively. I have previously mentored students who wish to study medicine through UCAS, entrance exam and interview preparation; several of them currently study at top universities, including Oxford and Cambridge! In my spare time, I am a highly creative person - I frequently attend dance classes, I music direct/conduct my university choir, and I scrapbook! I also love to read :) Currently attending the University of Birmingham Medical School - 1st year, Medicine. Attended a top London Grammar school; where I achieved 10 A*s (Grades 8-9) at GCSE level, and 3 As at A level in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. I am a first-year Mathematics and Statistics student at the University of Warwick. I have been living in the UK for the past five years, where I completed my GCSEs and A Levels while born and raised in Hong Kong. I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at A Level, giving me recent first-hand experience to understand the challenges that student face. What makes me stand out as a tutor is my ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear and approachable way and try to spark their interest in the subjects. My goal is to explain concepts methodically to allow students to understand and build confidence in the subject. My aim is to ensure that students grasp the reasoning behind each method while developing the fluency needed to apply their knowledge when required. I will try to tailor my lessons to each student's individual goals through encouragement, critical thinking while most importantly developing independent study habits that will benefit them throughout their education. In addition, my experience volunteering to teach mathematics to primary school students has shown me the importance of patience, encouragement, and building mutual trust. I believe meaningful progress comes from creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Therefore, I hope students can achieve academic success and develop the confidence and study skills that will support their long-term growth from me. I have studied in the United Kingdom and I completed my GCSEs and A levels at The Manchester Grammar School. My name is Khalood Zara, and I am a Law graduate with a strong and diverse academic background. Alongside studying Law at university, I completed A-levels in Mathematics, Economics, Business, and Psychology, which provided me with a broad foundation across both essay-based and quantitative subjects. This combination has enabled me to develop excellent written communication, analytical reasoning, and numerical skills, allowing me to support students with a range of learning styles and academic needs. My academic journey has equipped me with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, encourage critical thinking,-and help students build confidence in their abilities. I am a dedicated and knowledgeable tutor with a genuine passion for education and student success. My approach is focused, supportive, and tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring that students develop both confidence and a deep understanding of their subjects. I place great emphasis on critical thinking, academic rigour, and building strong study habits that extend beyond the classroom. By creating a positive and encouraging learning environment, I help students achieve their goals, realise their potential, and develop the skills needed for long-term academic success. My academic journey has provided me with a strong and diverse foundation of knowledge, analytical ability, and communication skills. I graduated with a Law degree from City, University of London, a highly respected institution known for its academic excellence, strong links to industry and the professions, and its location in the heart of London's legal and financial district. Studying Law at university required a high level of intellectual discipline, critical thinking, and attention to detail. Throughout my degree, l engaged with complex legal principles, developed advanced research skills, and learned how to construct clear, persuasive, and evidence-based arguments. The rigorous nature of legal study strengthened my ability to analyse information from multiple perspectives, identify key issues, evaluate evidence, and communicate complex ideas in a clear and accessible manner. These are skills that extend far beyond the study of law and are invaluable when supporting students in their own academic development. My university experience also enhanced my time management, organisation, and independent learning abilities, allowing me to approach challenges methodically and effectively. Prior to university, I completed A-levels in Mathematics, Economics, Business, and Psychology. This combination of subjects provided me with a broad academic perspective and enabled me to develop strengths across both quantitative and essay-based disciplines. Mathematics and Economics refined my numerical reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, while Business and Psychology strengthened my analytical writing, evaluation, and understanding of human behaviour and decision-making. Studying such a varied range of subjects has given me the flexibility to connect with students who have different academic strengths and learning styles. It has also equipped me with a balanced skill set that combines numerical proficiency with strong written communication and critical analysis. As a result, I am able to support students not only in mastering subject content but also in developing the confidence, independent thinking, and study techniques that underpin long-term academic success. My educational background has instilled in me a genuine appreciation for learning and intellectual curiosity. I strive to pass this on to my students by creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where they feel motivated to achieve their goals and full potential.
