My name is Mark Sean A. Manubag, and I hold a degree in Chemistry. For the past two years, I’ve been teaching and tutoring high school and college students, mainly in math, chemistry, and physics. I love making complex topics feel simple and approachable for learners at different levels. As a teacher, I am patient, supportive, and goal-oriented. I believe in guiding students step by step until they feel confident in themselves. One of my strengths is breaking down difficult concepts into clear, relatable ideas. Seeing students progress—from struggling on quizzes to celebrating their own achievements—is what inspires me to teach. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I enjoy connecting lessons to real-life examples, whether through cooking, music, or everyday situations, so that learning feels both meaningful and fun. I’ve found that when students can relate to a topic, they learn faster and remember it longer. Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, exploring different genres of music, and learning languages. During my studies, I gained extensive training in laboratory instrumentation, including GCMS, FTIR, AAS, and UV-Vis, and completed internships with the Food and Drug Administration of the Philippines, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and the Philippine–Japan Active Carbon Corporation. My undergraduate thesis focused on the spectrophotometric determination of phenolics from plant extracts, which strengthened my background in analytical chemistry. After graduation, I successfully passed the Philippine Licensure Examination for Chemists in September 2014. Alongside my academic journey, I began working as a freelance tutor between 2012 and 2014, supporting high school and college students in mathematics, chemistry, and other sciences. Many of the students I taught came from institutions with advanced science and math programs, while others needed help building foundational understanding. Through one-on-one lessons, I developed a teaching approach that emphasized patience, step-by-step guidance, and real-life applications, helping students not only grasp concepts but also build confidence in their own abilities. This tutoring experience deepened my passion for education and showed me the impact of making complex topics simple and engaging. Hi, I’m Maite! I’m a native German speaker and teach German at all levels — Primary, GCSE, and A-Level. Besides German and English, I also speak French and Spanish. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies with a minor in Educational Science, which deepened my understanding of cross-cultural learning, communication, and how to make complex ideas accessible. During my time at university, I spent over three years tutoring children of different ages, working in a programme led by the German federal government to support children from migrant and refugee backgrounds in their school learning. I am now excited to work with adults as well. When I think back to my own school years, the teachers who inspired me most were those whose honest passion made even my least favourite subjects enjoyable. That’s the atmosphere I aim to create in my lessons: engaging, light, and enjoyable. Outside tutoring, I teach meditation and mindfulness and support a charity creatively, which helps me bring patience, flexibility, and creativity into my teaching. I tailor lessons to each student — whether you need grammar support, speaking practice, exam preparation, or a personalised lesson to build confidence at your own pace, or simply want to learn German out of interest and enjoyment. I hold a BA in Cultural Studies and Educational Science, which I completed at Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany. I specialised in cultural theory and visual culture and spent an Erasmus semester at Université Bordeaux Montaigne in France. In addition, I hold a Yoga Alliance–approved 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certificate, complemented by an additional 50 hours of training in meditation.

I’m a 19-year-old recent sixth form graduate (2025) who studied A-level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. I’m passionate about teaching and helping students build confidence in their learning. I currently study Medicine abroad and enjoy supporting others to reach their academic goals. I completed my A-levels in 2025, studying Biology, Chemistry and Psychology, and was fortunate to gain a place to study Medicine, which I am currently pursuing abroad.
