Hi, I’m Jamie Evans—a passionate and dedicated math teacher who loves bringing numbers to life in fun and meaningful ways. My goal is to spark curiosity, build confidence, and help every student discover the joy of learning math. Outside the classroom, I enjoy playing volleyball, which keeps me energized, focused, and ready to bring creativity into each lesson. I hold a degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Construction Engineering and Management, where I developed a strong foundation in mathematical principles along with effective teaching strategies and classroom management skills. Hello! I am currently studying Theoretical Physics at the University of Bath. My main pastimes include hiking/camping, going to the gym, and running, so I do hope that I can relate to many of you! For me, tutoring is developing a clear understanding of subject knowledge instead of regurgitation of facts; learning should be to question and to think critically rather than to memorise. With me as a tutor, you can expect to gain a deep insight into your subject and acquire the ability to excel in your exams. I attended Swanmore College Of Technology where I studied 10 GCSE's achieving 5 9's in (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Enterprise and marketing and English literature)- 4 8's ( Maths, Computer science, English language and History) 1 7 ( Further maths). In my A- levels I achieved an A* in Maths, an A in Further Maths, an A in Physics and an A* in an extended project qualification for which I did extensive research in quantum mechanics and furthered my understanding of the double slit experiment exponentially (in both the quantum and classical realm). Currently I am a first year undergraduate at the University Of Bath studying Theoretical Physics.

My name is Ellie, and I am a student at Newcastle University. Despite studying Accounting and Finance, I still love all things English and Maths.
