I am currently a student studying Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I passed A-Level Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science with an A,B,B respectively. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, playing basketball and practicing my violin and piano. Hi there! My name is Molly, and I am a 22 year old graduate from the University of Manchester currently living in London. I studied History, a subject that I feel has equipped me with numerous transferable skills that make me an excellent tutor. It is analytical, requires the development of strong verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills, and the ability to build structured responses to fascinating and relevant topical themes. On a more personal note, I would like to pursue a career in teaching, and gaining experience in working one on one with students would be a positive addition to building up my confidence and abilities. However, I’m not the only one that would benefit from tutoring, I think you would too! I then went to Trinity School in Croydon for sixth form and obtained a 50% academic scholarship, both the highest scholarship offered, and a rare one to receive. I was awarded an A* in my Politics A-level, and two A’s in both History and Religious Studies. Finally, I studied History at the University of Manchester and obtained a 2:1 (second class, division one).

The reason I chose to study this because it included using a lot of technical and problem-solving methods, it also included a lot of Mathematics which was one of my favourite subjects at school. I would say Algebra is one of my strong areas and I completed the Level 3 Edexcel Algebra award in secondary school. When I teach I primarily use a lot of worksheets and exam-style questions which will help the student improve on the subject and feel better prepared for any upcoming exams. If a student is struggling to understand a concept , I use diagrams, videos and allow them to have more practise until they are comfortable with the topics.
