I have a huge interest in scientific research and writing, I work as a podcast panellist on a medical student run podcast called “Sharp Scratch” by BMJ student and I volunteer as chief of my University run national newsletter. I am currently a final year medical student with a bachelors degree in Medical sciences completed at the University of central Lancashire . I completed my Leaving certificate in 2019. I have a certificate in phlebotomy and training in line with NHS courses, as a healthcare assistant and vaccinator.

Medicine reject at A-level who decided to pursue biomedical sciences instead to explore several career routes in science. Upon further exploration through experiences in healthcare, decided to give medicine one more chance as a postgraduate degree and recieved an offer from Oxford for medicine. Interests include music, gaming and travelling. Tutoring GCSE and A-level Maths and Sciences for over 4 years helping over 40 students achieve their dream grades with a mean result improvement of 2 grades. I also assist in UK medical school admissions tests, personal statement writing and interviews (Oxbridge included). My teaching style heavily revolves around putting methods to practise by attempting several exam questions during lesson time. The goal is to familiarise yourself with exam techniques to the point where exam questions do not startle you. Hello, I'm Evan McLain, a second year Physics student at the University of Birmingham. Outside of my studies I love being active, I'm a keen footballer and often go running with friends.
